Discuss tips to writing great headlines. Please discuss a
few tips we haven't learnt before. AND...don't copy verbatim from Internet
sources. Please write those tips with own words. (250 w)
Design a print advertisement, not only emphasize on visual
but also the headline as it doesn’t mean the consumer will initiative to read
the contents of advertisement after see the attractive design of the advertisement.
Headline in the advertisement is very important to catch the reader attention
to continue reading the body copy.
Tip 1: Using some exaggerated word to create an exaggerated
title that can attract people read the whole headline. Advertiser also can exaggerate the message
that they want to convey to consumers, as consumers will feel more fun and
interested to read the advertising. They will feel the headline is exaggerated
and curious about if the content of the headline is true.
Tip 2: Advertiser can apply the current trend to the
headline. For example, the Gangnam Style, Pokemon Go or PPAP. Advertiser can use some trick to insert this kind
of sensitive word into the headline during that trend. For example, the player who addicted to the
Pokemon Go will be attracted to the headline which got mention Pokemon Go this
word. As the players maybe will think about if there have some offer to get rare Pokemon.
Tip 3: My third tip is to create a humor for headline.
Sometimes the humor not only can create fun, it also is a better and unobvious way to compare the
product with one of the competitor. Some of the consumer won’t get the inside
meaning of message from this kind of headline if they don’t really understand
about the product. And also the humor is difficult to convey an accurate
message, as some people will think it is a sarcastic.

Nice tips Elyza! I also think that light-hearted sarcasm will work in making a great headline. It makes people think and re-think about the message. And maybe with a bit of twist in the headline will be great too, such as the ads that Joey mentioned in her writing.
